Job Title: Indigenous Patient Site Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Indigenous Patient Site Coordinator is a key role within the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) Corporate, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Indigenous Health Services program on site. This position plays a critical role in planning and coordinating health and human services affecting Indigenous patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate health services affecting Indigenous patients
  • Participate in Regional WRHA Indigenous Health Services Program activities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve Indigenous patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, staff, and patients to achieve program goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory/administrative experience working with the Indigenous community in a healthcare related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or relevant social science discipline
  • Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of current and related software applications
  • Knowledge of and working familiarity with services of government departments and agencies and organizations providing assistance to Indigenous people
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture
  • Ability to interact well with other healthcare professionals, all levels of staff, and patients and families
  • Demonstrated planning and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Mature, professional manner
