Job Summary:

WRHA Community Health Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to clients in the community. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services and will be responsible for providing independent nursing services, administering prescribed treatments, and facilitating coordination of client care and discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to clients in the community, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications as required.
  • Facilitate coordination of client care and discharge, including communication with healthcare teams and families.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and treatment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a community health setting.
  • Knowledge of community health nursing standards and practices.
  • Ability to speak an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in a variety of community settings, including homes, schools, and clinics.
  • May be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • May be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
