**Job Summary**
WRHA Corporate is seeking a skilled Coordinator - Indigenous Patient Site to join our team.
As a key member of our Indigenous Health Services program, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our services on site, planning and coordinating health and human services affecting Indigenous patients; participating in Regional WRHA Indigenous Health Services Program activities and other duties as assigned.
**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our team and contribute to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of the WRHA.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in Indigenous health and experience working with healthcare related fields.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or relevant social science discipline and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory/administrative experience working with the Indigenous community.
**Key Responsibilities**
The Indigenous Patient Site Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Indigenous Health Services program on site;
- Planning and coordinating health and human services affecting Indigenous patients;
- Participating in Regional WRHA Indigenous Health Services Program activities;
- Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or relevant social science discipline;
- A minimum of three (3) years supervisory/administrative experience working with the Indigenous community in a healthcare related field;
- Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of current and related software applications;
- Knowledge of and working familiarity with services of government departments and agencies and organizations providing assistance to Indigenous people;
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture;
- Ability to interact well with other healthcare professionals, all levels of staff, and patients and families;
- Demonstrated planning and problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated leadership abilities;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Fluent in English;
- Mature, professional manner.
**Compensation Package**
The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
