Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our Adult Outpatient Mental Health Program. As a concurrent disorders specialist, you will work with individuals living with complex mental health and addiction issues. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing individual and group counseling sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health and addiction needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide evidence-based counseling services, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI)
- Liaise with community agencies and other healthcare providers to coordinate client care
- Participate in program development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work or related field from a recognized university
- Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with adults living with mental health and addiction issues
- Training in CBT, DBT, and MI; knowledge of community resources and referral networks
- Excellent communication, assessment, and intervention skills
