Key Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of Enbridge's financial systems and processes, including accounting concepts and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on financial matters, including capitalization policy, intangibles, and project allocations.
- Review and process stakeholder requests, collaborating with teammates to ensure timely and accurate responses.
- Participate in projects and initiatives that impact the larger team and other departments, driving business growth and improvement.
- Monitor systems, processes, and partners to identify triggers that require action, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Communicate complex financial information to stakeholders, providing clear and concise explanations of business reasons and conclusions.
- Perform self-review to ensure accuracy and soundness of judgments, maintaining high standards of quality and integrity.
- Accountable for internal control activities, ensuring Sox controls are in place and followed.
- Maintain a continuous improvement and learning approach, working with the people leader to pursue system and process changes where warranted.
- Related university degree and professional designation.
- Minimum of 4 years of directly related experience.
- Sound understanding of Enbridge's GDS business unit and regulatory environment.
- CPA or working towards a designation preferred but not required.
- In-depth financial software skills (Excel) and accounting system/ERP software skills (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Office environment.
- Minimal travel.
