We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our team at Cineplex, a leading entertainment company in Toronto. As an IT Helpdesk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first-level technical support for hardware and software issues across all Cineplex lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 technical support via phone, email, and instant messaging, prioritizing and assessing the urgency of incidents as necessary.
  • Monitor and support components of the Cineplex systems infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing ideas and contributing to the development of new processes and procedures.
  • Aid in resolving helpdesk issues, documenting solutions and creating knowledge base articles to benefit the entire organization.
  • Collaborate with IT Management on various projects and duties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IT-related help desk support.
  • Industry certifications such as MCSE, CISSP, or A+ certification are considered strong assets.
  • ITIL V3 Certificate in IT Service Management is highly desirable.
  • Experience with MS Vista POS Software or general retail POS systems would be a significant asset.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac OS, as well as Linux operating systems, is essential.
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
