About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Rocky's Donair Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Implementation

Determine the types of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.

Performance Management

Conduct regular performance reviews to assess employee performance and provide constructive feedback.

Cost Control

Monitor and control costs associated with food, labor, and other supplies to maintain profitability.

Inventory Management

Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient stock management.

Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Supplier Negotiations

Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to secure the best possible deals.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Marketing and Promotion

Participate in marketing plans and implementation to drive sales growth and increase brand awareness.

Employee Supervision

Supervise a team of 3-4 employees to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.

Computer and Technology Skills

Proficient in using electronic cash registers, MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and be physically able to stand for extended periods.

Personal Suitability

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of restaurant operations and management principles.

Requirements
  • Education

College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Language

Fluent in English.

Work Schedule

30 hours per week.
