Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at a recognized company in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process expense reports and update sub-ledger to G/L
  • Process checks and resolve A/P issues
  • Match, batch, and code invoices
  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
  • Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with company policies
  • Validate, record, and send checks
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned
  • Provide support during internal and external audits
  • Assist internal business partners with customer services needs
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures
  • 3+ years of experience in an A/P role
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business, or similar
  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases
  • Foundational knowledge in Coding Invoices
  • Bank reconciliations experience
  • Deep understanding of Accrued Expenses
  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience
