About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Aide at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, and clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and stock linen closets.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers, and wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure a safe and secure environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols, including criminal record checks and Child Abuse Registry checks.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, team player, and values and ethics.
