Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roving Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including mechanical and electrical systems, and performing routine and on-demand maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Conduct thorough inspections of facilities, mechanical, and electrical equipment to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for enhancement and repair.

Facilities Operations

Perform routine and on-demand maintenance services on facility mechanical equipment and other systems, ensuring uptime objectives are met and client operations are uninterrupted.

Client Relations

Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Administration

Participate in facility-related projects, ensuring work is performed in compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing.
  • Experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
  • Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment.
  • A strong environmental, health, and safety mindset.
  • Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
  • Mentoring skills to support lower-level technician development.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to obtain security clearance.
