Maintenance Operations Specialist

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Resource Manager to join our team in The Pas, Manitoba.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of trades staff and contractors, responding to trouble calls, and ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of government buildings and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to daily trouble calls from facility managers and district staff
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily activities of trades staff and contractors
- Prepare and issue work orders using SAP
- Ensure labor time and material charges are compiled on work orders
- Coordinate maintenance projects to ensure timely completion
Requirements:
- Major trades Journeyperson certificate or Power Engineer certificate
- Experience with building operations and maintenance in a facility or property managed environment
- Experience overseeing building maintenance requirements and preventative maintenance
- Experience working in a tenant services environment
- Experience supervising and managing tradespersons
- Knowledge of safe work practices, procedures, and relevant safety policies and legislation
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to solve problems under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
