Nature's Touch is a leading supplier of frozen fruit to retailers in North America, Australia, Taiwan, and Japan.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team. This role reports to the Financial Controller and ensures the development and execution of proper processes and controls to support our business strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Closing and Reporting Process: Lead the execution of the month-end closing and reporting process and ensure timely completion of financial statements and reconciliations.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis of the P&L and balance sheet, including account reconciliations and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and implement internal controls over financial reporting, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
  • External Audits: Participate in the annual external audit process and other audits as required.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting or finance.
  • CPA designation is required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience related to the role.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations or distribution is a must.
  • Strong hands-on experience in accounting systems (such as general ledger transactions and financial statements) with a mid to large enterprise.
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Self-starter with a passion for continuous improvement.
What You Will Bring:

As an ideal candidate, you will have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and juggle multiple priorities with limited supervision. You will also be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and carrying out detailed, complex analysis, with a mindset of continuous process improvements.

In return, we offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
