Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitative and supportive functions to individuals with mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in carrying out individual service plans under the direction of the Clinical team members.
  • Provide skill building and enhancement, creation and maintenance of formal and informal support networks.
  • Link to and maintain formal and informal support services, provide accurate information and consultation with families.
Requirements
  • Two years of related experience with people with mental health issues or other human services.
  • Experience in life skill teaching and support to individuals with mental health issues or disabilities.
  • University or College education in human services or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Recovery as it applies to individuals with mental illness.
  • Knowledge of community support services related to income, housing, employment, and social integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
