At Shared Health, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health and addiction services to individuals in need. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Forensic Mental Health Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Community Forensic Mental Health Specialist will provide a range of services to individuals experiencing mental health disorders who have been found unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients, families, and community partners to promote recovery, restoration, and maintenance of health functioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management, education, and continuous quality improvement activities to support clients and community partners.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide information and resources to community workers on case management, education, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of four years' directly related community mental health experience.
  • BSW, BSc.MH, BSc.PN, BN, OT, or other related health and human service degree required.
  • Licensure/Registration as per professional designation required.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the bio/psycho/social model of mental illness and recovery.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective networking and agency relations skills.
  • Working knowledge of the forensic and criminal justice systems an asset.
