Job DescriptionWe're seeking a Bilingual HR Administrator to join our team on a remote basis, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid role when our Montreal office is established. As a critical point of support for our HR team, you'll manage the end-to-end administration of the employee lifecycle, update and maintain data and information in DayForce and SharePoint, and screen, prioritize, and respond to employee requests related to HR.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Onboarding: Complete background and reference checks, prepare employment contracts, coordinate the signing process, manage new hire documentation, and process related forms and system updates.
- HR System Administration: Maintain employee files, input and maintain employee information in the HRIS, provide HRIS reports with analysis of data and trends, and update HR content on the SharePoint site.
- Employee Relations: Prepare employment verification letters, support employee engagement and recognition programs, and collaborate with HR leaders as needed.
- Compensation: Prepare employee correspondence related to employment life cycle changes, process system and payroll updates for staff salary increases, and liaise with payroll administrators.
- HR Communications: Own the HR mailbox, draft town hall presentations and HR communications, and maintain the HR SharePoint site.
- Education and Experience: Diploma in Human Resources or working towards CHRP designation, 1 year or less experience in HR support, and ability to update and enhance existing policies and processes.
- Communication Skills: Fully bilingual in French and English with exceptional written and verbal skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of applicable employment legislation in various provinces, including Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with HRIS, Dayforce, and MS Office Suite, including SharePoint.
- Accountability and Collaboration: Ability to take ownership of work and its impact on the organization, exceptional decision-making skills, and ability to adapt to changes in priorities and the business.
- Influence and Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding professional written, verbal, and presentation skills, ability to build productive relationships across the organization, and contribute to a positive remote and in-office workplace culture.
