The Tenant Navigator position at Simcoe County Housing Corporation is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of social services and community resources. As a Tenant Navigator, you will provide support to vulnerable tenants, making referrals to community agencies and working to improve the quality of life at SCHC properties.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide social work support to tenants, including referrals to community agencies and resources.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to ensure access to resources and services for tenants.
• Conduct needs assessments and develop plans to address tenant challenges and barriers to successful tenancies.
• Collaborate with SCHC team members to provide comprehensive support to tenants and address challenging situations.
Requirements
• A Social Services Worker Diploma or Social Work degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eligible to obtain a membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Service Workers and Social Workers (OCSSWSW) within 90 days.
• Strong knowledge of property management in a Social Housing environment and community and social programs such as addiction services, mental health supports, and resources for the elderly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise high levels of integrity.
• Valid Ontario Driver's license and ability to travel.
• Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a progressively responsible, related position.
What We Offer
$52, $64,173.00 per annum
