Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Store Manager in Training to join our team at Marshalls. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, including merchandising, customer service, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the store's sales, expense, and payroll budgets, as well as shrink targets and customer service metrics.
  • Support the execution of store action plans, including implementing changes to store floor plans and executing company initiatives and events.
  • Oversee and support assigned areas of store operations, including merchandising and presentation, frontline, fitting rooms, jewelry, maintenance, cash office, markdowns, administration, scheduling, shipping and receiving.
  • Recruit, train, and develop store associates, including providing coaching and mentoring to ensure excellent customer service and store performance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of store strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business or retail management, is preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in retail management or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management, and coaching.
  • Ability to make decisions and prioritize activities and resources in a fast-paced store environment.
