Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Store Manager in Training to join our team at Marshalls. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales and customer service targets by providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Support the Store Manager in recruiting, training, and developing store associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Participate in store operations, including merchandising, visual displays, and inventory management, to ensure a positive customer experience and drive sales growth.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including counting cash, processing transactions, and maintaining store security.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with store associates, customers, and vendors to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business or retail management.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a retail or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
