Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rental Administrator to join our team at Broadstreet Properties Ltd.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to handle various administrative tasks related to property management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post and reconcile customer payments to tenant registers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process tenant applications, input information accurately, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Review all credit balances, refunds, and adjust as necessary to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve any open amounts or misapplied transactions on tenant registers, providing excellent customer service along the way.
  • Audit daily approved applications, new applications, duplicate files, and call logs to ensure seamless operations.
  • Prepare required documents for monthly resident move-ins and move-outs, ensuring timely completion.
  • Create a comprehensive month-end rent summary, analyzing for errors and omissions.
  • Develop and implement audit standards, documentation, and schedules for rental office set-up and paperwork processing.
  • Travel to sites throughout the year based on the semi-annual audit schedule, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and guidance to team members as needed, promoting growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (one year post-secondary education).
  • At least two years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment, preferably in accounting or property management.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting systems and computerized applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork and team-building skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Accounts Receivable experience considered an asset.
