Job Title: Planning Coordinator

The Planning Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the planning and coordination of facilities projects and green field development for a diverse portfolio of multi-family residential properties throughout Western Canada.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate day-to-day project planning and scope creation, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Facilitate project estimation and bidding with third-party vendors, leveraging expertise to secure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain contract documentation, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to facilitate project design requirements, fostering effective communication and coordination.
  • Prepare and organize project documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation of business cases for new products and design standards, driving innovation and growth.
  • Curate and maintain construction design standards, ensuring consistency and excellence.
  • Utilize project scheduling to organize and plan projects for handoff to regional project teams, ensuring efficient execution.
  • Effectively communicate project information to key stakeholders, addressing questions and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Organize and distribute project documents, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination.
  • Compile and submit grant and permit applications to various levels of municipal, provincial, and federal governments, navigating regulatory requirements.
  • Create planning schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Project Planning or Project Coordination role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Understanding of construction and building systems, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inform stakeholders.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Project management or technical certification (CET) preferred, but not required.
