The Opportunity

This role will be part of our Rapid Diagnostics Division, where you will contribute to addressing some of the world's most pressing healthcare challenges. As a Territory Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage various clinical and industrial markets, reporting directly to the National Sales Manager.

You will form part of a high-performing team responsible for selling and managing a comprehensive portfolio of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Disease, Cardiometabolic, Toxicology products, as well as third-party offerings. Your objectives will include achieving territory sales targets, implementing the company's sales and marketing strategy, identifying and qualifying leads, and consistently closing business to meet or exceed your sales quota.

In addition to routine administrative tasks such as CRM maintenance and expense reporting, this role demands employee development and adaptation according to the employer's evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand the sales process and possess consultative selling skills
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to close
  • Consistently deliver revenue through lead identification, qualification, and sales pipeline management
  • Develop new business, resulting in positive revenue growth
  • Operate at the highest level regarding customer service and account maintenance
  • Support and deliver key sales presentations and demonstrations as required
  • Communicate with customers on product line technical issues as needed
  • Team player, assisting colleagues with learning and development opportunities
  • Develop deep market knowledge of assigned territories and customers
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key contacts within pharmacies, LTC facilities, clinics, microbiology labs, core labs, Infectious Diseases, Toxicology, Purchasing, and other KOLs and industrial partners
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree or relevant microbiology lab experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in medical diagnostics sales
  • Thorough knowledge of Healthcare Diagnostics, POC market, and microbiology
  • Demonstrated territory management skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Positive attitude with a self-driven sense of urgency
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure
  • Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills
  • Good working skills using Windows Microsoft Office and other relevant sales software such as Salesforce.com
  • Approximately 40% travel required
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
