Job Description:

As a Sales Specialist at Financière Sun Life, you will play a key role in supporting the business development team in selling SunAdvantage products. You will work closely with clients, preparing key presentations and documents, and analyzing financial reports to provide valuable insights to the business development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare custom client-related presentations and documents for Account Executives
  • Review renewal plans and provide key insights to help secure renewals and flag accounts at risk
  • Analyze and provide insights on monthly updates reports, dashboards, and other key financial reports
  • Deliver advisor training on key processes such as PAS/PSS
  • Prepare and facilitate key employee meetings to inform on plan
  • Handle key service escalations on behalf of Account Executives and liaise with internal teams to ensure resolutions
  • Conduct check-in calls with potential new business with Elite Advisors and key partners
  • Support Business Development Director in analyzing and reporting on results and performance tracking for Account Executives
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement with service representatives and underwriting teams

Requirements:

  • Proficient in preparing high-quality documents and presentations
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Sun Life Financial's mandate and values
  • Demonstrated analytical skills for assessing priorities and problem-solving under intense pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and appropriately under pressure
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills, including Microsoft 2010 (Word, PowerPoint), Outlook, and web-based programs
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and basic formulas
  • Superior organization and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and influencing skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a strong team environment
  • Positive attitude and a strong customer service orientation
  • Basic to intermediate Group Benefits SunAdvantage knowledge
  • College diploma and 3-5 years related work experience in financial services
