About the Role

The Assistant General Manager is a key leadership position at Banff Inn, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel. This role reports directly to the Cluster General Manager and is a critical member of the management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all hotel departments, with a focus on Front Office Operations.
  • Develop and implement business plans, marketing strategies, and operating budgets to drive revenue growth and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate staff to achieve high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage hotel finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Represent the hotel in a professional manner, interacting with guests, employees, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with the Cluster General Manager to achieve business objectives and drive hotel performance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with a focus on team development and performance.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high levels of guest satisfaction.
