Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Banff Collection by InnVest Hotels. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of one of our hotels, supporting the Cluster General Manager in achieving exceptional guest experiences and business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all departments, with a focus on Front Office Operations, to ensure seamless guest experiences and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a representative of the management team, interacting with guests, employees, and community members in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Implement and maintain all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue and market share, staying up-to-date with local competition and market trends.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and other controls to optimize hotel operations and minimize costs.
  • Fill in for vacant shifts as needed and perform General Manager functions in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives, including revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel operations, with a proven track record of success in leadership and management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests, employees, and community members in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and take calculated risks.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
