Job Summary

The Douglas College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Faculty Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Graduate Diploma Program, ensuring its smooth operation and alignment with college goals.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to plan, select, and schedule courses, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Recruit and support students throughout their program, providing guidance and resources as needed.
  • Develop and coordinate educational and professional development programs for the mental health and substance use field, aligning with college objectives.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to deliver the Psychosocial Rehabilitation concentration within the BA in Applied Psychology, ensuring its success and relevance.
  • Provide secretariat services to the Provincial PSR Advisory Committee, facilitating communication and collaboration among members.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD degree in Psychology or a related mental health discipline.
  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate and post-degree level, with a strong understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation interventions and approaches.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve effectively.
