Director of Accounting and Administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to Jarlette Health Services.
  • Manage budgets and oversee accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Conduct forecast analysis, tax planning, and monitor corporate credit to inform business decisions.
  • Play a key role in long-term and short-term strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the administration of subordinate managers, including the direction of IT and business systems departments.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of technical or business administration degree, MBA or similar degree preferred.
  • Extensive management experience in Senior Living or related industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Senior Living or related industry and high-level administration experience required.
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience with at least 3 years in management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within a large organization preferred.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with accounting systems, budgets, internal controls, business planning, and asset management.
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology Management.
  • Must possess a current driver's license and willing to travel.
  • Willingness to participate in relevant Committees and Boards.
  • Willingness to participate in various networking and advocacy efforts.
  • Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.
  • Experience creating and managing budgets for a large, distributed organization.
