Senior Oral Surgery Nurse Specialist

This Senior Oral Surgery Nurse Specialist position is available at Dental Corp in Richmond Hill. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a fast-paced oral and maxillofacial surgical clinic.
Responsibilities- Preparation of equipment and medications for surgical procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, reviewing medical histories and identifying potential risks or complications.
- Insert IV lines and administer medications as needed, maintaining attention to detail and prioritizing patient safety.
- Maintain patient monitoring during sedation, responding promptly to any changes or concerns.
- Coordinate post-operative recovery and discharge processes, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, fostering strong relationships and trust.
- Schedule and maintain inventory of medications and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies and minimizing waste.
- Holds current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications, adhering to industry standards.
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing, meeting ongoing education and practice requirements.
- Prior experience in oral surgery or related fields is essential, demonstrating expertise and knowledge.
- Candidates with prior experience in surgery, emergency rooms, ICUs, PACUs, or critical care settings have an added advantage, showcasing adaptability and resilience.
- Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, working collaboratively within nursing scope of practice.
