Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indigenous Peoples Liaison Specialist to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with First Nations communities, ensuring that our bank's policies and practices are respectful and inclusive of Indigenous peoples.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance our bank's relationships with First Nations communities
  • Provide guidance and support to our employees on Indigenous cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that our bank's policies and practices are respectful and inclusive of Indigenous peoples
  • Participate in community events and activities to build relationships and promote our bank's commitment to Indigenous reconciliation
Requirements
  • Must have experience working with First Nations communities and a strong understanding of Indigenous cultural protocols
  • Must have experience with SQL and JIRA, as well as software development cycles, SIT and UAT testing
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
