Space Planning Expert

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking an experienced Space Planning Expert to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing input into strategic space planning, generating space reports, studies, and analysis, including space audits.
About You- We are looking for a highly skilled professional with significant experience in space planning, architectural design, and project management.
- A graduate degree in architecture or a related field, combined with extensive experience in developing architectural schematic planning drawings, high-level architectural details, and outline scopes of work.
- Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD for architectural drawings and MS Office applications.
- An excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands.
- A strong background in client service, interpersonal relationships, and effective communication.
- Knowledge of applicable national and provincial buildings codes and regulations.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in space planning, including balancing multiple stakeholder needs and competing priorities.
- Provide input into strategic space planning from various sites within the Eastern and Northern Zones of Nova Scotia Health.
- Generate space reports, studies, and analysis, including space audits.
- Work with zone-specific clinical and community health service staff and leadership to identify and evaluate space needs.
- Conduct space audits and utilization/space programming studies.
- Provide feasibility options for consideration and prioritization of changes to space allocation and use.
- Identify necessary option changes to the space layout that may lead to Capital projects.
- Graduate degree in architecture or a related field.
- Significant experience in space planning, architectural design, and project management.
- Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong background in client service, interpersonal relationships, and effective communication.
- Knowledge of applicable national and provincial buildings codes and regulations.
Nova Scotia Health Authority offers a competitive salary range of $37.61 - $47.01 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
LocationThe successful candidate will be required to travel to other sites and must have access to a reliable vehicle.
