Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
Job Description: As a Maintenance Mechanic at IMP Aerospace & Defence, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating various Company vehicles, mobile cranes, and forklifts. You will diagnose and rectify faults on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, carry out periodic inspections and testing, and maintain accurate logbooks. Additionally, you will assist members of the maintenance trades as required and provide on-job-training to other personnel.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Prolonged experience with industrial machinery and vehicles
- Provincial Journeyman Mechanic License (considered an asset)
- Familiarity with welders, acetylene equipment, vehicle maintenance equipment, diagnostic testing equipment, lifting and towing equipment, vehicle slings, and personal protective equipment
- Ability to attend and successfully complete a 'Class B' Boom Truck Operators License (if required)
- Completion of one-year work experience in this classification and successful completion of OJT performance objectives (for top-level classification)
