About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at St. John's Fish Exchange Kitchen & Wet Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and cooking techniques to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and special occasions.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a senior kitchen role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
