Nursing Professional for Oncology and Palliative Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Oncology-Palliative Unit at North York General Hospital.

As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient and family-centered care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. You will collaborate with colleagues to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health, ensuring that health and safety policies are followed to create a healthy environment for all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating expertise in nursing practice per the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Critical thinking, prioritization, and organization to respond to client needs
  • Knowledge of transfers and lifts
  • Ongoing learning, professional development, and continuous quality improvement
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Internet searches, data entry, and patient information systems
  • Evidence of self-motivation regarding continuing education in patient assessment and education

Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
