Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our 13 West Oncology Unit, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care, administering chemotherapy, and coordinating care with various team members.

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy treatments and medications
  • Care plan and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
  • Utilize computerized systems for documentation and data entry
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects
  • Precept nursing students and mentor new staff members

Requirements

  • Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS certification
  • CNA certification in Oncology Nursing (preferred)
  • 2 years recent experience in oncology
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good patient assessment skills (patient assessment course preferred)

Benefits

Humber River Health offers a competitive salary range of $39.07 - $56.00 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, pension plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
