As a Senior API Content Strategist, you will possess strong experience in API design and documentation that can be showcased in your portfolio. You should have technical knowledge of APIs and an understanding of how they work within a broader digital platform. Your primary goal will be to improve worldwide product adoption and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate technical aspects of our software into consumable artifacts, helping both internal and external teams learn how to adopt new technology.
  • Design and layout content sites that assist developer personas in getting up-and-running with our API seamlessly.
  • Write and organize content connecting high-level technology descriptions to low-level documentation.
  • Apply content design skills to present existing content created by software engineers, architects, and product managers.
  • Create internal and external customer-facing content for software products.
  • Participate in user research to test and iterate on content solutions for data-driven design.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand key requirements and project changes.
  • Contribute to technical reviews of designs and content.
  • Provide feedback and support for cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in product-related content.
  • Work with agile teams to provide learnability reviews and content supporting new features and workflows.
  • Collaborate with teams on content planning and strategy for learning sites and channels aligning company goals.
  • Participate in a community of practice for content design.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A university degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years professional experience in software documentation, including experience with APIs.
  • Familiarity with web programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and Python.
  • Experience with Agile development processes and methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
  • Successfully completed two or more commercial software development cycles.
  • Experience communicating and describing technical concepts to various audiences.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $140,000-$160,000 per year, depending on experience and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, discretionary annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock or long-term incentive cash grants, and a competitive compensation structure.
