**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Youth Care Specialist to join our Safe Rides team. As a Safe Rides Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and youth in care.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Triage calls from children/youth, CFS workers, parents, and community members to determine the level of support required.
  • Monitor all communications and track the whereabouts of the team to ensure the safety of team members and children/youth.
  • Work collaboratively with the ANCR After Hours Program and other service providers to ensure a safe return to placement.

**Requirements**

  • Diploma/Certificate in Child & Youth Care or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of three years experience in front-line work, including outreach services.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
  • Independent capacity to maintain records and generate reports.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous and multi-cultural contexts.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry, and CFS Prior Contact check.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle with $2,000,000 liability insurance.
