Job Title: Safe Rides Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Safe Rides Coordinator to join our team at All Nations Coordinated Response Network. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and youth in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage calls from children/youth, CFS workers, parents, and community members reporting missing/absent children and youth in care.
  • Assess situations and determine the best course of action to ensure the safe return of children/youth to their placements.
  • Monitor communications and track the whereabouts of the Safe Ride team to ensure the safety of team members and children/youth.
  • Collaborate with ANCR After Hours Program and other stakeholders to provide support and resources to families and children/youth in need.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Certificate in Child & Youth Care or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of three years experience in front-line work, including outreach services.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Independent capacity to maintain records and generate reports.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous and multi-cultural contexts, with demonstrated skill working in cross-cultural environments.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry, and CFS Prior Contact check.
  • Valid driver's license and a vehicle with $2,000,000 liability insurance.
