Job Title: Safe Rides Coordinator

At All Nations Coordinated Response Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Safe Rides Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role

The Safe Rides Coordinator will play a critical role in our three-year pilot program designed to improve the response to missing/absent children and youth in care. You will be responsible for triaging calls from various stakeholders, including children/youth, CFS workers, parents, and community members, to determine the best course of action for safe return to placement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls from children/youth, CFS workers, parents, and community members reporting absent children in care.
  • Triage calls to determine the need for police involvement, ANCR After Hours Program, or Safe Ride team dispatch.
  • Monitor communications and track the whereabouts of the team to ensure the safety of team members and children/youth.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Certificate in Child & Youth Care or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum three years of front-line experience, including outreach services.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
  • Independent capacity to maintain records and data entry experience.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous and multi-cultural contexts and experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Certifications in Emergency First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are an asset.
