Job Title: Safe Rides Coordinator

At All Nations Coordinated Response Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Safe Rides Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role:

The Safe Rides Coordinator will play a critical role in our three-year pilot program designed to improve the response to missing/absent children and youth in care. This position will involve taking calls from various stakeholders, including children/youth, CFS workers, parents, and community members, to determine the level of support required. The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging calls, monitoring communications, and tracking the whereabouts of the team to ensure the safety of team members and children/youth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage calls from children/youth, CFS workers, parents, and community members to determine the level of support required.
  • Monitor all communications and track the whereabouts of the team to ensure the safety of team members and children/youth.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, making decisions and solving problems independently.
  • Maintain accurate records, including data entry and report generation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including CFS workers, parents, and community members.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Certificate in Child & Youth Care or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of three years experience in front-line work, including outreach services.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent capacity to maintain records and generate reports.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous and multi-cultural contexts.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry, and CFS Prior Contact check.
  • Valid driver's license and a vehicle with $2,000,000 liability insurance.
