At All Nations Coordinated Response Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Safe Rides Coordinator to join our team.
Job Summary:The Safe Rides Coordinator will play a critical role in our three-year pilot program designed to improve the response to missing/absent children and youth in care. This position will involve taking calls from various stakeholders, triaging situations, and coordinating safe returns to placement.
Key Responsibilities:- Triage calls from children/youth, CFS workers, parents, and community members to determine the level of response required.
- Coordinate with the Safe Ride team to ensure the safe return of children/youth to placement.
- Monitor all communications and track the whereabouts of the team to ensure safety.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions and solving complex problems.
- Maintain accurate records, including data entry and report generation.
- Develop strong relationships with Indigenous and multi-cultural communities, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity.
- Diploma/Certificate in Child & Youth Care or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in front-line work, including outreach services.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry, and CFS Prior Contact check.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle with $2,000,000 liability insurance.
