About the Role

The Inside Sales Account Specialist will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle and order processing of utility accounts. This includes maintaining critical business relationships with utility customers, creating new business opportunities, and providing a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain critical business relationships with utility customers and create new business opportunities.
  • Respond to customer needs and ensure timely communication and follow-up.
  • Analyze business performance and deliver recommendations to drive sales growth.
  • Resolve issues between the business and customers, escalating severe issues to management.
  • Channel normal product returns through the customer complaint reporting process.
  • Convey competitive information, market information, and customer product demands to staff and management.

Requirements

  • Applied post-secondary education.
  • 2-3 years experience in an inside sales function, preferably in the electrical industry.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proven business and operational experience and skills.
  • Relationship building capabilities to source and develop opportunities, and close sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Client focused, responsive, service-oriented, persuasive, and flexible.
