About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Health Services Director to oversee the operation of our laboratory and health services centers in multiple locations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building great teams through strong employee relations and creating a work environment that supports exceptional customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all locations.
  • BUILD and manage effective teams through strategic hiring, training, performance management, coaching, and recognition.
  • Provide professional assistance to clients, educate them on processes, investigate concerns, and ensure full understanding of client needs.
  • Analyze and make recommendations to continuously improve workflow processes to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
  • Conduct metric reviews of area laboratories and health services centers to ensure key indicators are being met or exceeded, and introduce corrective actions where required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects aligned with regional goals and objectives.
  • Develop and administer regional operating budgets, identify potential cost savings, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Responsible for completing operating reports using metrics and key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in healthcare, science, or business (3+ years of leadership experience preferred).
  • Previous related experience (3-5 years) and proficiency in MS Office and applicable software applications.
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or change management training required.
  • Proven attention to detail, excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple items effectively and have experience as a people manager.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of management and non-management.
  • Demonstrated customer focus with ability to engage direct/indirect reports to promote a customer-centric environment.
  • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of delivering results on multiple priorities while meeting competing deadlines.
