At John Brooks Company, we are seeking a skilled International Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Customs Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing customs processes to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
The primary focus of this position is on tariff classification, country of origin reviews, and ensuring proper documentation for imports and exports. You will work closely with customs brokers, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to manage duties, tariffs, and trade compliance.
In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for conducting tariff classification and country of origin reviews for all incoming and outgoing products. You will also ensure that all required CUSMA/USMCA certificates are on file, request missing certificates from suppliers, and submit them to customs brokers.
This role requires strong knowledge of customs regulations, duties, and tariff classifications. Experience working with customs brokers and regulatory agencies is also essential. Additionally, proficiency in Excel for managing and analyzing large datasets is required.
