Job Overview

The Registered Cardiology Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnostic imaging team, performing noninvasive cardiac tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

About the Opportunity

This is a full-time permanent position working 75 hours biweekly. Shift work may be required, including travel to other sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and stress testing under the supervision of a cardiologist
  • Prepare patients for ambulatory monitoring and stress testing
  • Precept and mentor new learners in the department
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma and successful completion of a cardiology technology program or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
  • BLS (HCP) certification
  • Recent clinical experience in an ECG department, with proficiency in EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress testing
  • Ability to adapt to flexible workload and stressful situations
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28.71 - $30.83, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, plus a defined benefit pension plan.
