Cardiology Technologist Specialist

The Registered Cardiology Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnostic imaging team, performing noninvasive cardiac tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
About the OpportunityThis is a full-time permanent position working 75 hours biweekly. Shift work may be required, including travel to other sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and stress testing under the supervision of a cardiologist
- Prepare patients for ambulatory monitoring and stress testing
- Precept and mentor new learners in the department
- Grade 12 diploma and successful completion of a cardiology technology program or equivalent
- Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
- BLS (HCP) certification
- Recent clinical experience in an ECG department, with proficiency in EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress testing
- Ability to adapt to flexible workload and stressful situations
