Veterinary Support Professional

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Veterinary Support Professional to join our team at Uniacke Lakes Animal Hospital in Mt. Uniacke, NS.
This is a full-time and part-time opportunity for experienced Veterinary Assistants, Technician Assistants, Animal Care Attendants, and client care/veterinary receptionist roles.
In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners, and contribute to the overall well-being of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease
- Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
- Take initiative and work independently
- Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients
- Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments
- General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
- Ability to use a computer-based booking and records system (we will provide training on our specific system)
- Willingsness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
