Job Summary

At Omega Formwork Inc., we are seeking an experienced Carpenter and Concrete Forms specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.

This is a seasonal position that requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be working at heights, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment. If you have a strong background in carpentry and concrete formwork, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Work at heights, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and improve skills.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry and concrete formwork.
  • Carpenter Red Seal Certificate.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training.
  • Working at Heights training.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
