About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Fraser Plastics Ltd. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and reading and interpreting welding blueprints and drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding Operations
    • Interpret welding process specifications to ensure high-quality welds
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate metal parts
    • Read and interpret welding blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with repetitive tasks
    • Physically demanding work requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding or a related field
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and 13.5 kg (30 lbs) with regular frequency
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
    • Organized and methodical approach to work
    • Team player with excellent communication skills
