About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Fraser Plastics Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the fabrication of plastic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution
    • Interpret welding process specifications and execute them accurately
    • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
  • Equipment Operation
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
    • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
    • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
  • Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced fabrication environment with repetitive tasks
    • Physically demanding work requiring attention to detail
  • Weight Handling
    • Handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
