We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Nova City Building Concepts Ltd. as a Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret welding process specifications to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate metal components.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
- Work in a fast-paced fabrication environment with repetitive tasks.
- Physically demanding role requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
- Stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require sitting and standing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Client-focused approach to ensure high-quality work and meet customer expectations.
- Efficient interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Organized and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding or a related field.
- Panjabi language proficiency.
- 32 to 40 hours per week.
- Permanent work term.
- English language proficiency.
