Job Summary
The Fitness Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the gym floor, ensuring the safety and maintenance of equipment, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise gym floor activities and ensure a safe and clean environment
- Provide customer service and respond to member inquiries
- Conduct fitness assessments and provide personalized coaching
- Develop and implement fitness programs and promotions
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives
Requirements and Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. kinesiology, exercise science)
- Minimum 26 weeks of relevant experience
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
The Fitness Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with members and staff on a regular basis. The role requires flexibility and adaptability, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
