Administrative Support Specialist

The Government of Prince Edward Island is seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative support services within various government departments and Health PEI. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, time management, organization, and interpersonal abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing administrative support services, receiving incoming calls, arranging appointments, and making referrals. They will also be responsible for word processing duties, data entry, and maintaining accurate records and file systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support services with a high degree of accuracy;
- Receive and respond to incoming calls, arrange appointments, and make referrals;
- Perform word processing duties, including typing and drafting correspondence, reports, and memos;
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls;
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and file systems;
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and related documents;
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Post-secondary education in a related field;
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications;
